After waffling back and forth for a while about how/when to reopen commissions regularly…I’ve decided to just go ahead and open up for sketches, just to get back into the swing of things!
$10 each (Extra characters, or super detailed characters will be an additional $5) — and is your choice of a full body or headshot. (Headshots will end up being a bit more detailed)
Quick turn around of a day or two on these! Open for most themes / subject matter ( MMO characters / OCs, Furries, NSFW/Erotica, etc.) though do reserve the right to decline anything too out there.

You defended him when he stuck his head in where it wasn’t wanted, and then you continually failed to make any points(not that this stopped you from claiming victory). What exactly did I twist into meaning something else? You won’t say for some reason.
It’s good that you’ll think before offering advice though, because if there’s one thing you definitely should take form this, it’s that your advice isn’t wanted. People can complain about their problems and not want people coming in and telling them the most obvious pieces of advice. Rapscallion basically walked into an AA meeting and said to everybody “Hey, have you ever considered like, just not drinking?” It’s a totally asinine suggestion, clearly people there are already doing it, and nobody who’s going through this wants to hear that from someone who’s not dealing with the same problem.

There’s literally no need to go into a discussion about people being assholes, and telling folks “maybe there’s just something about you(gender maybe I don’t know) that provokes these guys, so either change your character concepts, or get used to it” and that’s exactly what she’s responding to.
Not logic and reasoning, but someone telling them that the behaviour of assholes is something they just have to get used to. No one was asking for someone to fix this. Everyone is used to this shit, as heartbeaking as that fact is. But now they aren’t allowed to complain about it apparantly without being told they’re partly to blame.

I read the part where Rapscallion said that if they want to avoid harassment, they need to roll male characters. I read the part where he tried to lessen the responsibility of the harassers(maybe they’re some 14 year old who trolls everyone. Maybe you’re blowing a /kiss out of proportion). I read the part where he basically said “Boys will be boys.” I read the part where he out of hand dismisses the idea of Rape Culture despite the ongoing discussion of symptoms he was responding to.
I read all that as a response to a bunch of people venting about being sexually harassed online. A place where those comments are neither necessary or welcomed.
I then read that you thought that was something unreasonable to get upset about. You belittled very well placed anger about something that very clearly affects a lot of people.
But hey, at least you admitted to not reading my post.

I wasn’t really going to post on this thing based on how subjective and one-sided it all is, but I can understand why the parties involved would have a hard time objectively looking at the situation. I’ll go all the way back up to the first few posts and offer a bit of advice.
If you find yourself being hit on on all your female characters and it makes you uncomfortable, roll males, all the time. You probably ‘shouldn’t’ have to because people ‘shouldn’t’ behave the way they do, but that’s the way it is, and nothing is going to change that now, or probably ever – though I greatly admire those who try. I’m not particularly viewing it as a matter of anything but your personal well being. It clearly affected you enough for you to post on it, and who knows what sort of distress and discomfort goes on behind the screen. Rather than keep trying and decrying the perpetrators when it happens, remove yourself from the possibility of the situation entirely. It’s an online game, it’s not worth putting yourself through the stress. Better to be safe than sorry, I always say.
As an aside, consider that just as you assume that the person ‘hit on you’ by blowing a kiss (if I’m not mistaken, I’m going by memory here, too lazy to scroll up), you may have also assumed incorrectly that they were spitting on you and harassing you because you ‘refused the advance’. I’m not saying this is what actually happened, I wasn’t there, so I can’t tell. However, it’s all subjective. For all you know it may have been a thirteen year old kid just harassing everyone that crossed his path, or an older douchebag who picked you as his troll o’the day. This brings to mind that all the other times may have been subjective as well, but that is too far into the realm of assumption to really use here.
I don’t really believe in the rape culture myself, I believe that people are bad, just as people are good, and people will glorify the bad just as people glorify the good. We may as well assign a ‘culture’ to every good and bad thing, which would be a massive waste of time! That’s just my –own- subjective view, however, and I don’t expect it to hold superiority over anyone else’s.
My main point is – if something keeps happening under a circumstance that makes you uncomfy, take steps on your end to make sure it doesn’t happen. It sucks knowing the shitty things and people that are out there, but until the world changes – which it probably won’t without significant revolution – the best thing you can do is protect yourself.
